I CARE about RVers

In recent years, Polk County has been designated as a certified retirement community. It is the headquarters of Escapees, Inc. one of the largest RV communities in the country. Escapees is also one of the largest employers in Precinct 1 and is the home of the largest private U.S. post offices in the country.

CARE, an assisted living retirement community that was created through Escapees offers assisted living for elderly full-time RVers. As a member of the Board of CARE for a number of years, I understand the unique challenges and the wonderful opportunities this community offers Precinct 1.
